1. staples for your wardrobe in the figurative sense. staple earrings from kathleen whitaker. they’re sometimes sold in single earrings so i bought one for my second hole (yes, the second hole is being resurrected). THE DEVIL IS IN THE DETAILS, NEHA.2. one word: peplum. you don’t need to break the bank at Alice + Olivia if you don’t want to, Zara’s been selling it and a million other cheap places too, (this one is from Topshop). 3. a nice starter bag. a new working woman needs a working woman’s bag. Marc by Marc Jacobs is a good place for someone in the early part of their twenties (and corresponding early 20s budget) to start. 4. a gold statement necklace with a nice price. an everyday staple from catbird. you can never go wrong with catbird. re: devil, details; see above. 5. a little pizzaz for your wrist, and cheap pizzaz at that, from asos. i also cannot resist jewelry which resembles weaponry (see: man repelling). 6. embarassingly, Jessia Simpson makes palatable shoes. flats are a must for commutes and the grey with mustard toe cap is ADORBS. 7. a not too high-heeled pair of black pumps for those fancy days (you can put them in your bag and wear them at your desk…hell, leave them at your desk) Michael Kors has a nice price too. 8. another adorable pair of flats, a bit higher than the Jessica Simpson price point, since they’re by Loeffler Randall but a good investment with metallic and black. And then you won’t be wearing something by Jessica Simpson.
